Job summary

Medilogistics in Pongola is looking for a Distribution Manager to oversee daily operations of a distribution hub. You will direct daily activities, plan, coordinate and execute tasks, and implement programs that ensure training, safety, security and housekeeping across the hub.

Requirements include Grade 12 and a National Diploma (3 yrs) or Higher in Logistics / Distribution / Freight / SCM or Business Management.

Job description

A vacancy exists at Medilogistics for a Distribution Manager based in Pongola, reporting to the Logistics Manager. The responsibility of the vacancy of the Distribution Manager is to assist with the daily operations of the specific distribution hub, area or function.

The responsibility of the vacancy of Distribution Manager is to direct and oversee the daily activities relating to a specific distribution hub, area or function. Responsible for planning, coordinating and executing, in a timely manner, the daily activities of a given hub/area and implementing programs that ensure the needs of all functions within that area are met (training, safety, security and housekeeping).

QUALIFICATION

• Grade 12
• National Diploma (3yrs) or Higher in Logistics / Distribution / Freight / Courier or Supply Chain Management/ Business Management.

EXPERIENCE

• Valid Driver’s License code 8 or higher.
• Computer Literacy in Microsoft Packages
• 6 months to 1 year distribution-related experience
• 1 or more years of junior managerial experience, coupled with a strategic outlook and focus.
• 2 or more years of administrative experience
