Job summary

Dis-Chem Pharmacies Marine Walk store invites applications for a Dispensary Support (Fixed-Term) to join the team. The role focuses on training learners who will complete the learner basic pharmacist assistant course to support dispensing and quality on the job learning.

Under direct supervision, you will assist with the sale of Schedule 1 medicines, stock control, labeling, and patient service while preparing for SAPC registration.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with Maths 50% and Life Science/Physical Science 50%.
• Must complete a proficiency test to apply for SAPC learner basic assistant registration.

Responsibilities

• Assist with sale of Schedule 1 medicines under supervision.
• Unpack, stock, label, and merchandising in the dispensary.
• Help with stock control and expiry date checks.
• Follow up on script tracking and patient service calls.
• Provide health information to individuals and promote wellness.
• Assist with scheme authorisation of chronic, HIV, and oncology meds.
