Qualifications

• Essential: Grade 12/Matric or Senior Certificate with Math 50% and Life Science/Physical Science 50%
• Proficiency test for SAPC registration as learner basic assistant
• Pharmacist’s assistant learners may perform tasks under supervision as described by SOPs

Responsibilities

• Assist with sale of Schedule 1 medicines and scheduled substances
• Assist with compounding/preparation of non-sterile medicines under supervision
• Unpack and merchandise stock; clean shelves as directed
• Follow up with patients on script tracking and appointments
• Assist with stock control and expiry date management
• Support call centre scripts and patient service calls
• Provide information to promote health and assist with scheme authorisation
