Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Dispatch Manager to lead central dispatch operations in Upington, Northern Cape. You will oversee a team of coordinators and drivers, optimize routes, manage budgets, and ensure safe, compliant, timely deliveries.

We require a Bachelor's degree in logistics or related field, 6+ years of experience with at least 2 years in supervision, and strong leadership and budgeting skills. Knowledge of SA transport laws is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, SCM, Admin or related field.
• 6+ years in logistics or dispatch management with 2+ years in supervision.
• Experience managing large dispatch operations and fleets.
• Familiarity with TMS and route optimization tools.
• Strong leadership and budgeting skills.
• Knowledge of SA transport laws and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee dispatch operations to ensure timely shipments.
• Lead and motivate dispatch coordinators, drivers and staff.
• Develop efficient dispatch schedules and routes to cut costs.
• Ensure compliance with transport regulations and safety standards.
• Monitor fleet performance and coordinate maintenance.
• Collaborate with warehouse, sales and customer service.
