Job summary

The Department of e-Government in Johannesburg seeks an experienced Enterprise Architecture leader to establish and govern architectural principles, policies and standards across ICT; you will drive the enterprise architecture roadmap and ensure alignment with Gauteng’s long-term strategies.

You will oversee system integration, policy implementation, and risk management while mentoring staff and ensuring governance and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• IT/CS/IS qualifications at NQF level 7 as recognised by SAQA.
• Foundational certification in ITIL V3.
• TOGAF 9 certification.
• COBIT 4 certification.
• 5 years’ experience at middle/senior managerial level in Enterprise Architecture environment.

Responsibilities

• Establish and enforce architectural principles, policies, and guidelines.
• Oversee integration of systems, applications and data across the organisation.
• Develop and maintain Technology Architecture Standards and enterprise architecture roadmaps.
• Oversee implementation of government policy frameworks in GPG.
• Develop ICT/Digital strategies aligned with long-term vision and goals.
• Identify risks in architectural solutions and develop mitigations.
• Manage business processes, workflows and governance to minimise audit findings.
• Provide staff coaching, mentoring and performance evaluation.
• Manage directorate budget and expenditure and enforce policies.
