Job summary

Stellenbosch University invites applications for the post of Head: Institutional and Corporate Funds on the Stellenbosch Campus. This senior leadership role sits in the Finance Division within the Student Finance area and oversees institutional funding and bursary administration.

You will provide data-driven financial insights, manage disbursement processes, ensure compliance, and deliver governance and risk management while leading teams and engaging multiple stakeholders to support student

Qualifications

• Relevant degree (NQF 7) or equivalent in finance, accounting or public administration.
• Minimum three years' bursary/funding environment experience.
• At least three years' management experience.
• Advanced Excel skills and data handling.
• Excellent financial management and administrative abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to SOPs of the centre and funders in bursary administration.
• Provide data, information and insights for strategic and operational support.
• Monitor and evaluate processes against internal matrices and benchmarks.
• Participate in internal control tests and audits.
• Oversee disbursement, cancellation and refunds of allowances.
• Prepare management reports, reconciliations and presentations for funds.
• Manage institutional and corporate funding activities.
• Governance, compliance and risk management.
• Stakeholder relationship management and client support.
• Operational and people management.
