Job summary

PlaceTalent is seeking a seasoned HR Business Partner to drive regional HR strategy across multiple African markets. You will partner with senior regional leadership to translate global HR strategies into effective regional execution plans and oversee governance, programmes, and initiatives.

You will lead workforce analytics, dashboards, and executive presentations, while influencing country HR teams to ensure compliant, consistent processes and high-quality service delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or related field.
• Postgraduate qualification or HR certification is advantageous.
• Minimum 10 years' HR experience in multinational organisations.
• Experience in HR Business Partnering or Generalist leadership across multiple African markets.
• Strong project management experience.
• Solid understanding of HR governance, employment law, compliance, workforce planning, and employee relations.
• Experience in a complex, matrixed international environment.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and presentation skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to handle multiple priorities.

• Build relationships with business leaders across markets and promote accountability and continuous improvement.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, or related field

• Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, governance, and employee experience across the region.
• Provide strategic guidance on organisational effectiveness, workforce planning, employee relations, change management, and HR operations.
• Build strong relationships with business leaders and key stakeholders across diverse markets.

Minimum Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.
• Postgraduate qualification and/or recognised HR certification will be advantageous.
• Minimum of 10 years' progressive HR experience within multinational organisations.
• Demonstrated experience in HR Business Partnering or Generalist leadership roles across multiple African markets.
• Strong project management experience leading regional or enterprise-wide HR initiatives.
• Solid understanding of HR governance, employment legislation, compliance, workforce planning, performance management, organisational development, and employee relations.
• Experience operating within a complex, matrixed international environment.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and presentation skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management, influencing, and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to travel across Africa as required.
