The role :

Our client is seeking a Direct Sales Consultant to join their team on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering excellent service to members, advisors, providers, and suppliers in accordance with prescribed processes.

Functions :

  • Deliver excellent service to members, advisors, providers, and suppliers.
  • Assist with member engagements and tempo activations.
  • Utilise excellent customer service skills, including questioning, probing, listening, establishing rapport, and closing.
  • Ensure accurate data entry and typing skills.
  • Communicate effectively through written and verbal channels.
  • Manage time effectively to meet deadlines and prioritise tasks accordingly.
  • Responsibility and accountability for the positioning of the client as the scheme of choice for prospective members within the desired profile and successfully registering the member on the correctly matched option.
  • The job must be performed in line with regulations and treating customers fairly.

Skills :

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Office, Outlook, and Internet.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Bilingual in English and Afrikaans with strong interpersonal communication.
  • Team player with a caring attitude.

  • Requirements :

  • Grade 12 with Mathematics or Maths Literacy (Mathematics on a symbol E or higher. Maths Literacy on a symbol C or higher)
  • FAIS Regulatory Exam 5 for Representatives (to be obtained within 24 months of the date of first appointment (DOFA) as a representative)
  • Tertiary qualification e.g. National Diploma or Degree
  • Minimum 3 years in a sales position Work Experience
  • Strong listening skills to understand and address customer needs.
  • Excellent customer service skills, including questioning, probing, listening, establishing rapport, matching, and closing.
  • Proficient in data entry and typing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Effective time management skills to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
