Job summary

Partner company in South Africa is seeking a Direct Response Video Editor to craft short-form ads for paid social platforms. You will transform UGC, testimonials, product demos, and founder footage into conversion-focused assets, while rapidly testing hooks and messages with AI-assisted workflows.

You will collaborate with growth and creative teams, producing multiple assets weekly and maintaining a fast, data-driven approach to optimization.

Qualifications

• At least two years of experience editing direct response video advertisements for DTC brands.
• A strong portfolio demonstrating paid social video advertising and performance storytelling.
• Experience designing static ad creatives for Meta campaigns.
• Proficiency with CapCut, Premiere Pro, or After Effects.
• Working knowledge of Photoshop for static assets.
• Strong understanding of hooks, CTAs and conversion-focused advertising.
• Experience writing or refining ad scripts and copy.
• Familiarity with AI-powered tools (ChatGPT, Runway, Pika).
• Ability to deliver multiple assets per week and meet deadlines.
• Strong English communication and cross-functional collaboration.
• Creative, performance-driven mindset with initiative to experiment.

Responsibilities

• Direct response video editing: produce short-form ads for Meta, TikTok, and paid social.
• Edit user-generated content, testimonials, demos, and founder-led footage into ads.
• Develop hooks, messages, and CTAs for testing and optimization.
• Use AI tools to accelerate ideation, scripting, and editing workflows.
• Scriptwriting and ad copy creation or adaptation for campaigns.
• Create high-converting static ad designs for social campaigns.
• Apply established templates and production systems for consistency.
• Organize assets: UGC, stock footage, hooks, B-roll, and more.
• Collaborate with strategists and growth teams to align with campaign goals.
• Incorporate feedback to improve creatives and production efficiency.
• Manage multiple projects and meet delivery deadlines.
