Job description

Purpose of Position:

To coordinate, enable and drive digital transformation initiatives within the Engineering & Assets function, aligning digital capabilities with asset management strategies and business priorities. A knowledgeable and experienced Digital Solution Specialist (Engineering & Assets). The position is responsible for translating operational needs and improvement opportunities by designing, implementing, and optimizing digital solutions within the Engineering & Assets function, ensuring alignment with business objectives and industry best practices. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders, project teams, and technical experts to deliver robust and scalable Engineering & Assets technology solutions that support the asset value chain e.g. asset lifecycle management, maintenance planning, engineering documentation, and reliability engineering. The role focuses on evaluating current Engineering & Assets technological systems, integrating emerging digital solutions, and ensuring compliance with engineering standards and data privacy regulations. It also emphasizes collaboration with internal and external stakeholders to foster a culture of digital literacy and continuous improvement while mitigating potential disruptions during transitions.

Qualifications and Experience for Position:

• BSc degree in Computer Science, Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical/Mining), Technology, Business, or a relevant field, e.g., BEng, BTech, or Asset Management qualification

Added Advantages :

• Certification in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Asset Management or related Engineering & Assets technology modules.
• Experience with Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) platforms such as SAP PM, IBM Maximo, or Oracle EAM.
• Proficiency in Power Platform tools (e.g., Power Apps, Power Automate) for Engineering & Assets process automation.
• Knowledge of Azure services, including Azure Integration Services, Logic Apps, and Data Factory. Experience with AI-driven asset analytics, RPA for maintenance and engineering tasks, and Engineering & Assets Business Intelligence.
• Prior experience in a similar industry or with companies undergoing Engineering & Assets digital transformation initiatives.

Literacy level:

• Proficiency in asset management systems, digital engineering trends, and cloud technologies.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and training skills.
• Understanding of engineering compliance, asset integrity standards, and safety regulations related to digital transformation.
• Ability to translate Engineering & Assets process requirements and business needs into practical, system configurable solutions and functional specifications.
• Strong understanding of Engineering & Assets processes and how D365 Asset Management or similar systems can be leveraged to support them.
• Ability to adapt to changing technologies, equipment fleets, and engineering compliance requirements.

• Proven experience in Engineering & Assets digital transformation or a similar role.
• Knowledge of digital asset management technologies and applications.
• Experience with cloud-based Engineering & Assets solutions and process automation.
• Proficiency in project management and change management within Engineering & Assets functions.
