Placements24 is seeking motivated individuals to join as Diesel Mechanic Apprentices in Richards Bay. This hands-on program focuses on maintaining, repairing, and servicing diesel engines and heavy-duty vehicles under certified technicians, with practical experience in diagnosing and fixing complex mechanical issues.

The role is designed for individuals passionate about automotive mechanics, offering extensive training, mentorship, and exposure to a wide range of heavy-duty equipment.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 with passes in Mathematics and Physical Science.
• Interest in diesel mechanics and vehicle maintenance.
• Physical fitness and ability to perform manual tasks.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new mechanical technologies.

Responsibilities

• Assist certified mechanics in performing routine maintenance on diesel engines and vehicles.
• Learn to diagnose mechanical faults using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Participate in the repair and replacement of engine parts, brake systems, and other mechanical components.
• Maintain a clean and organized workshop environment.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations related to workshop operations.
