• Grade 12 or equivalent, with a preference for mathematics and physical science.
• Strong interest in diesel engines and heavy vehicle mechanics.
• Good mechanical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Physical fitness and ability to work in a workshop environment.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions.
• Willingness to undergo rigorous training and continuous learning.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the inspection, maintenance, and repair of diesel engines and related systems.
• Learn to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using specialized tools and equipment.
• Perform routine services such as oil changes, filter replacements, and brake adjustments.
• Participate in the overhaul and rebuilding of engine components under supervision.
• Maintain a clean and organized workshop environment, ensuring all tools are handled safely.
• Adhere to all safety regulations and company procedures during all work activities.
