ResponsibilitiesInspect trucks to identify mechanical issues and interpret diagnostic results
Repair and replace faulty mechanical, electrical, and electronic components in engines, transmissions, braking systems, and steering mechanisms
Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs in line with service standards and within set timeframes
Maintain detailed records of inspections and repairs for each vehicle
Complete job cards and parts requisitions accurately
Attend to breakdowns promptly to ensure minimal downtime
Promote a safe, clean, and organised work environment in compliance with OHS Act and SHEQ standards
Qualified Diesel Mechanic
General Auto Electrical Experience
Basic knowledge of Thermo King diesel cooling unit engines
Experience working with Volvo trucks advantageous
Code 8 Drivers License
Computer literacy
Available for after-hours and weekend work
2 to 4 years of relevant experience
Diagnostic tools for mechanical issues
Maintaining detailed service records
Safe work practices in a maintenance environment
