Job summary

GHH Mining Machines is seeking 3 Diesel Mechanics based in Lydenburg and Rustenburg to maintain, service and repair diesel-powered machines, ensuring reliability and safety underground.

Candidates should have Matric/Grade 12, be trade-tested Diesel Mechanics with 5+ years on TMM equipment, a valid driver’s license, and a willingness to travel; underground mining experience is essential. Demonstrates safety-first mindset and proactive maintenance culture.

General

• Do Planned Maintenance (Services & Improvements) on GHH Mining Machines in a manner that promotes reliability with total cost saving to the Client
• Arrange / request all spares required in a pro-active manner
• Might also be required to help with Breakdown Maintenance on Surface on GHH Machines
• Inspect the machines; take the required test measurements record findings on Inspection Report
• Sign-off the Inspection Reports, get approval from Mine Supervisor & hand-in to Charge Hand
• Attend and contribute to all required Safety Talks & Actions
• Follow & adhere to all Mine Rules & Procedures
• Participate in the Management of Change process & implementation
• Identify Training needs of people on Site and communicate with Charge Hand and Contracts Manager
