The Role: Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Diesel Mechanic to support workshop operations and ensure the reliable functioning of agricultural machinery, trucks, and utility vehicles. This hands-on role is critical to minimising downtime, maintaining safety standards, and supporting continuous farm operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative maintenance, servicing, and repairs on agricultural equipment, trucks, and bakkies.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records through job cards and service documentation.
  • Uphold safety standards and workshop policies at all times.
  • Collaborate with the Workshop Foreman and fellow team members to meet operational goals.
About You
  • Qualified Diesel Mechanic (trade-tested).
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role, preferably within an agricultural or farm-based environment.
  • Proven experience working on trucks, agricultural machinery, and utility vehicles.
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills with a solutions-driven approach.
  • Proficient in both English and Afrikaans (essential).
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and detail-oriented with a proactive mindset.
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Safety-conscious, adaptable, and able to perform under pressure in a dynamic farm environment.

Working Hours: 07:00 -16:00, with overtime as required.
