Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced DevOps Lead to join a remote-first engineering team. You will drive DevOps best practices, automate infrastructure, and ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of software delivery pipelines.

This fully remote role offers maximum flexibility and autonomy for individuals who can design robust CI/CD systems, manage multi-cloud infrastructure, implement IaC, and foster strong collaboration between development and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in a DevOps, SRE, or System Administration role.
• Proven experience designing CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI, or Azure DevOps).
• Proficiency with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) including services (EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, etc).
• IaC experience with Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.
• Hands-on Docker and Kubernetes experience.
• Scripting in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, Datadog).
• Strong networking, security, and sysadmin knowledge.
• Excellent remote communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated build, test, and deployment processes.
• Develop and maintain scalable, reliable, and secure cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
• Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and improve efficiency and availability.
• Automate operational tasks and workflows to reduce manual effort and errors.
