Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer with a strong cloud focus. The role is fully remote and based in Richards Bay, KwaZulu-Natal.

You will design and manage CI/CD pipelines, implement IaC with Terraform/Ansible/CloudFormation, and optimize cloud infrastructure across AWS/Azure/GCP. You’ll also implement monitoring, automate tasks, and collaborate with development and QA to ensure scalable, secure systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Proven DevOps experience with cloud environments.
• Hands-on experience with AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Scripting proficiency (Python, Bash, PowerShell).
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong CI/CD tooling knowledge (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
• Familiarity with monitoring/logging (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK).
• Experience with IaC tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting.
