Job summary

QE Services IT Recruitment seeks a skilled DevOps Engineer for a contract role with a client in Cape Town. You will contribute to scalable cloud solutions and drive cross-functional delivery across multiple workstreams.

Requirements include 8+ years in software development, strong Python/AWS skills, and experience with CI/CD, REST APIs, and containerisation. A proactive, collaborative mindset and agile approach are essential.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of object-oriented software development.
• Relevant IT qualification (Diploma or Degree) in CS/IT.
• AWS certification advantageous.
• Strong skills in Python, Angular, Ruby on Rails and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain integrated programme delivery roadmaps.
• Coordinate multiple concurrent business, operational and technology workstreams.
• Lead end-to-end implementation of new insurance products and enabling capabilities.
• Facilitate business requirements workshops and solution discussions.
• Translate strategic objectives into executable delivery plans.
• Coordinate tech development, testing and business readiness activities.
• Manage programme governance, RAID logs, reporting and Steering Committee updates.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and influence delivery across organisations.
• Apply Agile delivery principles to ensure successful programme execution.
• Monitor programme risks, dependencies and delivery progress.
• Ensure successful product launches through effective cross-functional coordination.
