Job summary

Take 5 Madu Mageu in Gauteng seeks a Depot Manager to oversee storage, distribution, and day-to-day depot operations. You will ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while coordinating with customers and suppliers to maintain supply chain integrity.

You will lead the depot team, monitor performance, and drive cost-efficient solutions, forecasting stock levels, delivery times, and transport costs using IT systems. Experience with logistics and telematics is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain or Operations Management.
• Experience or working knowledge of Syspro will be advantageous.
• Experience with telematics programmes such as Roadshow, DRM, Mixtelematics or ICAM.

Responsibilities

• Manage the depot, providing technical direction and ensuring safety and quality.
• Monitor movement, storage, costs, and efficiency of goods.
• Forecast stock levels, delivery times, transport costs and performance using IT systems.
• Coordinate the order cycle and related information systems.
• Oversee receipt, coordination, and safety of goods at the depot.
• Liaise with customers and suppliers and develop new contracts.
