We have an amazing opportunity for a Deposits Team Leader to be based in Umhlanga. Do you think you have what it takes to be our newest Purple Star?

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Branch to achieve business objectives in accordance with the Region and Retail Operations Strategy.

You’ll Do For The Brand
  • Accurate reporting of deposits statistics to the management team.
  • Oversee and optimize deposit processing to ensure timely and correct fund allocations to customer accounts.
  • All internal control procedures are strictly followed, reporting any deviations and implementing corrective actions.
  • Work closely with internal audit teams to assess and address potential risks, implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Minimize administrative errors in deposit processing and transaction handling.
  • Drive excellent customer service standards with the team in interactions with customers, internal departments, and branches.
  • Monitor and improve turnaround times for resolving customer and audit queries.
  • Identify the root causes of customer and audit queries, implementing initiatives to reduce recurring issues.
  • Ensure queries are resolved efficiently, with a focus on first-contact resolution where possible.
  • Maintain high-quality service standards and implement interventions to address quality shortfalls.
  • Ensure the department is adequately staffed to meet operational demands.
  • Implement strategies to enhance team motivation, collaboration, and a positive work environment.
  • Conduct continuous training assessments to identify and address skill gaps within the team.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, providing coaching and support to team members.
  • Manage conduct, ensuring that performance improvement and disciplinary procedures are consistently applied when necessary.
  • Oversee monthly feedback meetings, trend reporting, and resource management reporting.
  • Continuously review internal control procedures to enhance efficiency and minimize risks.
  • Ensure all processes comply with regulatory and internal audit requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments, such as Mobile, Internet Betting, and Telephonic Betting, to understand interdepartmental dependencies and streamline processes.
  • Uphold high ethical standards and maintain confidentiality in handling sensitive financial transactions.
  • Promote the company brand and image through professional service delivery.
  • Take ownership of additional tasks or projects as required to support business operations.
  • Attend to ad-hoc functions as required due to operational requirements.
