The President Hotel in Bantry Bay, Cape Town, is seeking a Demi Chef de Partie to assist the Chef de Partie and keep a kitchen section running smoothly. You will prepare dishes, maintain standards and contribute to memorable dining experiences in a luxury hotel environment.

Ideal candidates have a minimum of 2 years' experience, a culinary diploma or equivalent training, and a collaborative approach to work within a professional kitchen team. A competitive salary and benefits are offered.

• Strong culinary skills and ability to follow recipes with consistent taste, quality and presentation.
• Ability to guide, train and support Commis Chefs and kitchen assistants.
• Sound knowledge of kitchen operations, stock control and inventory management.
• Good understanding of food safety, hygiene and health and safety standards.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with food preparation and cooking according to established recipes and presentation standards.
• Support the Chef de Partie with the daily operation of your assigned section.
• Maintain consistent flavour, quality and presentation throughout service.
• Help train and supervise Commis Chefs and kitchen assistants.
• Monitor stock levels, assist with supply orders and ensure freshness while minimising waste.
• Maintain a clean, organised section and follow hygiene and safety procedures.
• Contribute ideas for new dishes and improvements to existing recipes.
• Work closely with the kitchen team to maintain efficient service.
• Resolve challenges within your section promptly and support a positive working environment.
