Placements24 invites a meticulous Delivery Route Planner to join our client’s operations team in Nelspruit. In this hybrid role, you will design efficient delivery routes, balance distance, traffic, windows and vehicle capacity to boost operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

You will plan daily routes, analyze traffic patterns, and adjust plans in real time while collaborating with dispatch and drivers. A strong ability to work independently and within a team is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in route planning, logistics or dispatch.
• Proficiency with routing software such as Route4Me or OptimoRoute.
• Strong knowledge of the Nelspruit area and surrounding regions.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

About the Role

In this role, you will be responsible for designing the most efficient and cost-effective delivery routes for our fleet, considering factors such as distance, traffic, delivery windows, and vehicle capacity. Your work will directly impact operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. This hybrid role offers a blend of office-based planning and remote flexibility, supporting our client's distribution network throughout Mpumalanga and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and optimize daily delivery routes for a fleet of vehicles using routing software.


• Analyze traffic patterns, delivery times, and customer locations to create efficient schedules.


• Adjust routes dynamically based on real-time changes, such as traffic incidents or new orders.


• Collaborate with dispatch and drivers to ensure smooth execution of planned routes.


• Track delivery performance and identify opportunities for route improvements.

Requirements
