Placements24 is seeking a reliable Delivery Driver with a Code 10 or 14 license to join the Durban logistics team. You will ensure safe, timely deliveries to customers across KwaZulu-Natal, uphold vehicle safety and maintenance, and provide excellent service as the front line of the company.

The role offers a company-provided vehicle, potential overtime, and a focus on safety and efficiency in a stable environment; strong knowledge of Durban roads and independent work ethic are essential.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a professional driver.
• Valid Code 10 or Code 14 driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Excellent time management and customer service skills.
• Professional demeanor and ability to work independently.
• Good knowledge of Durban and surrounding KwaZulu-Natal road networks.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles (trucks/vans) safely and efficiently in accordance with traffic laws and policies.
• Load and unload goods, securing items for transport.
• Deliver products to customers at designated locations with excellent service.
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs.
• Maintain delivery logs and obtain customer signatures.
• Adhere to delivery schedules and routes, communicate delays to dispatcher.

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles (trucks/vans) safely and efficiently in accordance with all traffic laws and company policies.
• Load and unload goods, ensuring items are secured properly for transport.
• Deliver products to customers at designated locations, providing excellent customer service.
• Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any maintenance needs promptly.
• Maintain accurate delivery logs and obtain customer signatures upon delivery.
• Adhere to delivery schedules and routes, communicating any delays or issues to the dispatcher.

Requirements

• Valid Code 10 or Code 14 driver's license with a clean driving record.
