Job summary

Placements24 in Richards Bay is seeking a DeFi Engineer to design, build, and maintain decentralized finance protocols on the blockchain. You will work with Solidity and EVM-compatible chains to deliver robust smart contracts and scalable backend components for DeFi applications.

You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define roadmaps, perform rigorous testing and security audits, and monitor deployed protocols to implement upgrades and optimizations.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing and deploying smart contracts, especially DeFi.
• Strong knowledge of Solidity and EVM-compatible chains.
• Understanding of DeFi economics and financial markets.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement secure DeFi smart contracts for lending, borrowing, and DEX.
• Design scalable backend systems and APIs to support DeFi protocols.
• Conduct security audits and testing of contracts and applications.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to define roadmaps.
• Monitor deployed protocols and implement upgrades.
