Job summary

Mimecast South Africa is seeking a Deal Support Desk Analyst to accelerate quote-to-close and ensure compliant deal structuring. You will partner with Sales, Finance, Legal, and Revenue Operations to drive speed, accuracy and proper revenue recognition, while configuring CPQ workflows and monitoring deal velocity.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years experience in Deal Desk, Sales Ops, or Revenue Ops.
• Strong Salesforce and CPQ experience.
• Solid understanding of pricing models, discounting, and ASC 606.

• Strong communication and stakeholder management to partner with sales and leadership.

Deal Support Desk Analyst Job Summary

The Deal Desk Analyst is responsible for providing real-time support to the sales team, ensuring deals are structured efficiently and in compliance with company policies. This role focuses on speed, accuracy, and execution to drive deal velocity and optimize pricing discounting, and contract terms. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment works collaboratively across multiple teams, and ensures smooth deal execution from quote to close.

Key Responsibilities

Deal Execution & Approval Support

Partner with sales reps to quickly assess, structure, and approve quotes within company guidelines.

Review deal terms, ensuring compliance with pricing, discounting, and legal policies.

Work cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, and Revenue Operations to resolve deal roadblocks.

Ensure timely approvals and accelerate deal closure by managing the internal approval workflow.

Sales Process & Deal Execution

Manage the quote-to-close process, ensuring timely approvals and deal progression.

Identify process bottlenecks and propose efficiency improvements.

Assist in configuring CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) tools and deal workflow automation.

Work with finance to ensure proper billing, revenue recognition, and contract compliance.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

Work closely with Legal, Finance, and Revenue Operations to streamline deal approvals.

Ensure Contract terms comply with company policies and revenue recognitim guidelines.

Support the enablement of the sales team on pricing strategies, policies, and best practices.

Data Analysis & Reporting

Monitor sales pipeline, deal velocity, and win rates to identify trends.

Provide data-driven insights to improve deal conversion and effectiveness.

Develop dashboards and reports for executive leadership on deal performance.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have Skills

• 1-3 years of experience in Deal Desk, Sales Operations, or Revenue Operations.
• Strong Salesforce and CPQ (Configure, Price, Quote) experience.
• Solid understanding of pricing models, discounting strategies, and revenue recognition principles (ASC 606 preferred).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills to partner with sales and leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-3 years of experience in Deal Desk, Sales Operations, or Revenue Operations.
• Familiarity with revenue recognition pnnciples (ASC 606), SaaS pricing models, and discounting strategies.
• Experience working in high-growth, B2B SaaS environments.
• Knowledge of financial modeling.
• Knowledge of contract terms, subscription-based pricing, and multi-year deals.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple deals in a fast-paced sales environment.

The base salary range for this position is 560 000,00ZAR-840 000,00ZAR plus benefits. This range represents the minimum and maximum new hire compensation for this role. The position may also be eligible for incentive plans and additional benefits, in accordance with company policy and local regulations. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location with individual compensation also dependent on factors such as qualifications, experience, and skills. Final offers will reflect these considerations and may vary accordingly.
