Placements24 in Pretoria, Gauteng, seeks an experienced Distribution Center Supervisor to lead a warehouse team in a fast-paced, on-site facility. You will oversee receiving, putaway, picking, packing and dispatch, driving safety, accuracy and productivity. You will monitor performance, coach staff, train new employees, and ensure inventory accuracy.

Collaborate with the DC Manager on planning and staffing. Requirements: 4+ years in warehouse ops, with 2+ in supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years in warehouse operations.
• 2+ years in a supervisory/lead role.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily activities of warehouse staff, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time.
• Monitor workflow and performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, safety procedures, and operational standards.
• Train new employees on warehouse procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operation.
• Manage inventory accuracy through cycle counting and stocktaking procedures.
• Operate and oversee warehouse equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks; adapt to automated systems where present.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment; conduct regular safety inspections.
• Collaborate with the Distribution Center Manager on planning, staffing, and performance reviews.
• Address employee concerns and resolve conflicts in a timely and professional manner.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of warehouse processes and efficiencies.
