Datalogic is looking for a skilled and motivated Application Engineer to join our South Africa team and help grow the business for retail clients. As an AE, you will play a crucial role in supporting the sales team in pre‑sale activities, demonstrating technical aspects and benefits of our products to partners and potential customers.

Key Responsibilities

• Contact with partners and end users to understand their needs and support them in business development by trainings, product demonstrations.
• Provide technical support during the sales process, including customer meetings and presentations.
• Collaborate with the global sales team on project follow‑ups, verification of product quality, correct solution selection.
• Support the technology sales efforts of the global sales team.
• Collaborate with Sales, Product, and Engineering teams to drive the success of Datalogic products by providing customer feedback and staying current with industry trends and new technologies.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• Languages: Fluency in English; other foreign languages are a plus.
• Experience: 3+ years of experience in a customer‑facing role as a Technical Consultant, Pre‑Sales Engineer, Project Manager or similar. Familiarity with CRM systems, preferably Microsoft Dynamics.

• Annual Base Salary (RAL): 600,000.00 ZAR - 750,000.00 ZAR
