Job summary

Dis-Chem Pharmacies’ CJ Distribution in New Germany (KwaZulu-Natal) has an opportunity for a DC Inbound Clerk responsible for accurate receiving of incoming goods at the warehouse.

Candidates should have Grade 12 and at least one year of distribution/logistics experience; duties include verifying deliveries against orders, logging claims, stock reception within 48 hours, and supporting the receiving team.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Matric) with English and Mathematics.
• 1 year relevant experience in a Distribution, Logistics or Supply Chain Environment.

Responsibilities

• Verify and check deliveries against inbound delivery and invoices to ensure total accuracy.
• Ensure goods delivered are the goods ordered as per the purchase order for which the company has been invoiced.
• Assist the receiving manager in preparing and logging warehouse claims on the warehouse claims system.
• Ensure stock receipts flow through receiving and are receipted within 48 hours and stored correctly.
• Adhere to food handling SOP at all times.
• Assist in training other staff members.
• Willing to be rotated to where needed and perform other functions within the department as required.
• Ensure no unauthorized access to the warehouse via the receiving area.
• Manage and control high risk/sensitive stock, temperature-sensitive stock and high-value stock.
• Be security conscious and avoid theft or fraud.

Dis-Chem Pharmacies’ CJ Distribution in New Germany (KwaZulu-Natal) has an opportunity available for a DC Inbound Clerk to join the team. The main purpose of this role will be to accurately receiving of incoming goods delivered to warehouse.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 - Matric or Senior Certificate with English and Mathematics
• 1 Year relevant experience, in a Distribution, Logistics or Supply Chain Environment

Job Specification…

• Verify and check deliveries against inbound delivery and Invoices ensure total accuracy
• Ensure goods delivered are in fact the goods ordered as per the company purchase order, for which the company has been invoiced
• Assist the receiving manager in preparing and logging warehouse claims on the warehouse claims system
• Ensure the flow of stock receipts through receiving is maintained, that deliveries arriving are receipted within 48 hours and packed away onto the racking
• Adhere to food handling SOP at all times
• Assist in the training of other staff members
• Must be willing to be rotated to where needed and must be willing to perform any other function within the department, should the need arise
• Ensure no unauthorised access is granted to the warehouse via the goods receiving area
• Manage and control high risk / sensitive stock, temperature sensitive and high value stock
• Be security conscious at all times and avoid committing theft or fraud
