Job summary

SIGNAL HILL PRODUCTS seeks a maintenance technician in the brewing/FMCG sector to keep equipment in like-new condition and ensure reliable operation. You will follow safety, 5S and environmental procedures, plan and perform maintenance tasks, and participate in team problem solving to improve equipment performance.

We require a technical diploma/degree in electrical or mechanical engineering, a relevant trade test, and 2–3 years of workshop experience.

Qualifications

• Tertiary education, degree or diploma, in Electrical and/or mechanical engineering.
• Passed the relevant Trade Test.
• A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant technical experience in a similar role, preferably in the brewing, beverage or FMCG industry.
• Exposure to a workshop environment.
• Ability to work overtime when required.
• Trade test qualification.
• Sharp problem solving/root cause analysis skills.
• Good team player.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Health, Safety & Environment procedures and legislation.
• Maintain safety and 5S standards.
• Identify unsafe practices through safety observation reporting.
• Conduct safety inspections.
• Adhere to PPE standards.
• Locate plant, equipment, spares and relevant documentation/systems.
• Plan and prepare for the job.
• Carry out repairs and maintenance schedules safely and accurately.
• Support and participate in team meetings and development.
• Backlog management and generation of follow-on work tags.
• Support Manufacturing Excellence roll out and focused improvement tools.
