Job summary

The South African Breweries is seeking a maintenance technician to maintain, calibrate, and repair packaging equipment to ensure high availability and product quality. You will support shift teams, participate in planned maintenance, and drive improvements across SWIs and SOPs.

Role requires Minimum N6 in mechanical/electrical Engineering, Millwright Trade Test, and 2-3 years FMCG experience. Responsibilities include planned maintenance, running repairs, problem solving, and housekeeping per 5S

Qualifications

Minimum N6 in mechanical/electrical Engineering.
Millwright Trade Test.
2-3 years' experience in an FMCG Environment.

Responsibilities

Provide specialist support to shift-based teams during operations.
Guide and advise on mechanical equipment and fault-finding during operational issues.
Carry out maintenance planning and execute tasks as per the planner's schedule.
Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, lubrication and inspections.
Partake in running repairs and assist Shift Artisans in repairs.
Apply problem-solving approaches to resolve issues and escalate when needed.
Create or improve SWIs, SOPs and maintenance tasks to close feedback loops.
Adhere to SAP requirements and 5S housekeeping principles.
