Job summary

BCE Foods is seeking a Dispatch Supervisor for the Day Shift in Johannesburg. The role focuses on supervising the outbound distribution, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to SOPs to limit stock losses and inefficiencies.

You will resolve day-to-day personnel, organizational and equipment issues, coach and train staff, and maintain safety and quality standards across the shift. Experience in warehouse operations and logistics is essential.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent is required.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination with work experience is preferred.
• Ability to motivate and develop direct reports.
• Driver's license is required.
• OHSA training is preferred.
• Forklift certification is beneficial.
• Computer literacy including SAP, Qwix, and WMS is important.

Responsibilities

• Supervise outbound and day shift distribution functions.
• Communicate with Warehouse, Outbound and Day Shift Manager on issues.
• Advise on manpower based on workload.
• Minimise overtime and expenses while maintaining standards.
• Coordinate with departments to maximise productivity and minimise errors.
• Oversee pick & pack, driver supervision, and stock movement.
• Support safety, inventory control, and cycle counts.
• Lead staff development, scheduling and performance management.
