Kimberly-Clark is seeking a Day Mechanical Technician at the Cape Town plant to support maintenance and reliability across manufacturing assets. You will work with the engineering and operations teams to minimize downtime and optimize performance while following safety and quality standards.

The role requires hands-on maintenance expertise in FMCG settings, the ability to read mechanical drawings, and a mindset for continuous improvement through data analysis and digital dashboards.

Qualifications

• FMCG maintenance experience is essential.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and interpret schematics.
• Lean manufacturing and process improvement skills are a plus.

Responsabilités

• Maintain assets to keep them in a Safe to operate condition while promoting safety.
• Coordinate mechanical maintenance resources for planned, unplanned and grade-change activities.
• Utilise SAP PM to record reliability and maintenance data on mill equipment.
• Apply good maintenance practices to improve equipment reliability and MTBF.
• Provide engineering support for solving daily plant operating problems.
