Job summary

Blue Pearl PTY is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead enterprise-scale IT and digital transformation initiatives within a large retail environment in Cape Town. You will oversee the full lifecycle from initiation to sign-off, coordinating with executive leadership, vendors, and cross-functional teams.

The ideal candidate will have strong governance, risk management, and stakeholder management capabilities, with experience managing data, analytics, cloud, or modern technology

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of Databricks.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Project (MS Project).
• Experience delivering data, analytics, and digital transformation initiatives.
• Understanding of enterprise technology delivery environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise-scale technology and digital transformation projects from initiation to closure.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, risks, and dependencies using industry best practices.
• Partner with business and technology leaders to translate strategic objectives into executable project roadmaps.
• Bridge the gap between business requirements and technical solution delivery.
• Coordinate and manage cross-functional teams, including architecture, engineering, data, and business stakeholders.
• Drive project governance, reporting, and decision-making processes.
• Manage project risks, issues, change requests, and dependencies proactively.
• Facilitate executive steering committee meetings and provide regular status updates to senior stakeholders.
• Ensure solutions are implemented successfully and embedded into business operations.
