Job summary

Gijima Staffing Solutions is recruiting a Data Technologist for a Centurion-based role. The candidate will engage with business teams, perform database programming, data quality assurance, and analysis to support decision making.

The ideal candidate has a degree in a relevant field, 3+ years of experience, SAS/SQL Server certs, and strong PowerBI skills; familiarity with financial data flows is a plus. The position requires clear communication and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor or equivalent in economics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, BIS/analysis, finance, or related field.
• SAS and/or SQL Server certifications required.
• Minimum 3 years in data mining, modeling, or coding.
• Strong quantitative skills with training in statistics and data mining.
• Knowledge of financial flows, illicit financial activities is advantageous.
• Proficiency in PowerBI and BI visualization tools.

Responsibilities

• Engage with business teams to define project requirements.
• Develop new information sources and custom management tools.
• Perform database programming and data integration tasks.
• QA tests, resolve database problems, and improve processes.
• Design data models and prepare reports with inferences.
• Maintain documentation and conduct data audits.
• Conduct big data evaluations and provide analytical support.
• Brief and present to stakeholders; disseminate information.
• Plan work to meet milestones and perform additional analyses.
