Job summary

Boardroom Appointments seeks an experienced D365 F&O professional to own master data and manage end-to-end inventory processes in a Johannesburg environment. The role covers data integrity, reporting, and warehouse support, with emphasis on continuous improvement through analytics and automation.

You will work with Finance & Operations to deliver robust solutions, create specifications, perform development and testing, and ensure quality across the solution lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Diploma or university degree in Informatics or a related field.
• 2–3 years of consulting experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations is essential.
• Microsoft certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own master data initiation and maintenance.
• Provide inventory management support from inbound to outbound.
• Troubleshoot inventory transactions.
• Develop and maintain reports and dashboards.
• Support warehouse team and related processes.
• Understand the problem to solve within Data & Analytics, Finance & Operations.
• Produce detailed specifications and input into solution design decisions.
• Develop, test, implement and maintain the designed solutions.
• Continuously test work to ensure it meets specifications and quality.
• Maintain and enhance performance of existing solutions.
• Drive process automation and efficiency improvements.
• Use third party applications as chosen by Altron Nexus.
• Escalate issues clearly and in a timely manner.
• Create documentation for operating guides, user training and marketing/sales guides.
• Interact with internal customers for training and user acceptance if required.
• Maximise master data usage for efficiency; extract data accurately.
• Conduct data cleaning to remove old/duplicate data.

D365 F&O knowledge on the following modules:

• Inventory management (non-advanced warehouse)
• Sales and marketing
• Procurement
• Quality orders
• Landed cost

Responsibilities:

• Owner of initiating and maintaining master data
• Inventory management support from inbound to outbound, stock transactions
• Inventory transaction trouble shooting and support
• Report and dashboard development and maintenance
• Provide support function for warehouse team
• Understanding of the problem that needs to be solved with the solution within Data and Analytics, Finance and Operations (F&O);
  
• Producing detailed specifications and input into solution design decisions;
• Development, testing and implementation the design, and maintenance of solutions;
• Continuous testing of own work to ensure that it meets the requirements of the specification and identify bugs (errors) quality assurance;
• Maintenance and performance enhancement on existing solutions;
• Continuous Improve and process automation;
• Use third party applications as chosen by Altron Nexus;
• Escalate any issues timeously and clearly;
• Creation of documentation to provide the basis for operating instructions, guides for users, training programs and marketing / sales guides;
• Direct interaction with internal customers including training and user acceptance if required;
• Maximising the use of master data for efficiency and continuous improvement, extraction of data accurately, value creation.
• Conducts data cleaning to rid the system of old, unused, or duplicate data.
