Alignerr is seeking a Data Security & DLP Analyst to help shape the next generation of AI by evaluating data protection controls and training data for frontier models. The role is an hourly contract with 10–40 hours per week and is fully remote.

You will analyze data security scenarios, classify data sensitivity, and assess policy violations while contributing to AI safety and risk context in real-world environments.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on data security, compliance, or security operations.
• Familiar with DLP tools, data classification frameworks, and privacy/regulatory concepts (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).
• Strong practical understanding of data risk in real enterprise environments.

What You'll Do

• Analyze realistic data security and DLP scenarios spanning cloud, SaaS, and enterprise environments

Who You Are

• 2+ years of hands-on experience in data security, compliance, or security operations
• Familiar with DLP tools, data classification frameworks, and privacy or regulatory concepts (GDPR, HIPAA, PCI‑DSS, etc.)
• Strong practical understanding of how data risk plays out in real enterprise environments
• Comfortable analyzing security incidents and articulating nuanced risk decisions in writing
• Self-directed and reliable — able to deliver quality work asynchronously

Nice to Have

• Experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP) or SaaS security controls
• Background in security engineering, threat modeling, or privacy compliance
• Familiarity with AI safety, red‑team­ing, or AI evaluation workflows
