Job summary

Alignerr is seeking a Network & Infrastructure Security Analyst (AI Training) for a remote, hourly contract. You will analyze security scenarios, classify incidents, and help train AI models to understand threats and controls in production environments.

Youll work asynchronously, 10–40 hours per week, collaborating with a global team to shape frontier AI security workflows and datasets while enjoying flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hands-on experience in network, infrastructure, or endpoint security.
• Familiarity with firewalls, EDR, email security, IAM and SIEMs.
• Understanding how security controls are deployed in real organizations.
• Ability to explain security issues and impacts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyze network, endpoint, and email security scenarios across modern enterprise stacks.
• Review firewall, EDR, and infrastructure security cases to determine what went wrong and why.
• Classify incidents, misconfigurations, and control failures based on real operational data.
• Create, label, and validate security training and evaluation datasets used to improve AI systems.

What You'll Do

Who You Are

• 2+ years of hands‑on experience in network, infrastructure, or endpoint security roles
• Solid familiarity with firewalls, EDR platforms, email security, IAM, SIEMs, and enterprise tooling
• Strong understanding of how real organizations deploy and operate security controls
• Able to clearly explain security issues, root causes, and business impact to both technical and non-technical audiences
• Detail‑oriented with strong analytical and written communication skills
• Self‑motivated and comfortable working in an asynchronous, task‑based environment

Nice to Have

• Experience with threat hunting, incident response, or security operations center (SOC) work
• Familiarity with frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, or CIS Controls
• Background in red teaming, penetration testing, or vulnerability management
• Prior experience contributing to AI, data labeling, or security research projects
