Job summary

NTT DATA in Johannesburg is seeking a Data Privacy Specialist to lead the implementation and oversight of the privacy program across Global Practices. You will act as a key contact for privacy matters, embed policies, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure compliance, risk management, and effective privacy by design in products and services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
• 3+ years' data privacy program experience.
• Experience handling data subject rights requests and breaches.
• Experience advising on complex privacy matters with practical guidance.
• Experience in risk management and compliance projects (preferred).
• Experience in telecom/tech or professional services (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Be the go-to contact on data privacy within Global Practices portfolios.
• Embed privacy policies and standards with local variations as needed.
• Review policies to meet business and legal privacy requirements.
• Implement controls for privacy by default and by design.
• Support rollout of privacy requirements for new initiatives.
• Document data processing activities and ensure privacy notices.
• Perform privacy assessments and advise on privacy controls.
• Support responses to RFPs and client questionnaires on ISPMS.
• Support third-party privacy assessments and audits.
• Assist legal in data processing/sharing agreements and maintain third-party register.
• Handle data subject requests and privacy incidents with relevant teams.
