Job summary

Exceed Human Resource Consultants is seeking a data engineer to build robust data pipelines, develop ETL processes, and implement data warehousing solutions to support analytics teams in Somerset West.

The role emphasizes data quality, security, and collaboration with stakeholders to translate complex data into actionable insights, with hands-on work in SQL, PowerBI, and MS Fabric.

You will deliver visualizations and drive data-driven decisions across the organization in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering, ETL development, or related roles.
• Strong proficiency in SQL and PowerBI.
• Experience with data warehousing and data analytics tools (e.g., MS Fabric).
• Exceptional problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in creating and maintaining data pipelines and ETL workflows.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in ensuring timely delivery of solutions.
• Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high data quality standards.
• Experience working with Git throughout the product lifecycle

Responsibilities

• Work with internal and external stakeholders to translate complex data into clear and actionable insights.
• Develop compelling visualizations to support informed decision-making and promote a data-driven culture.
• Deliver accessible and impactful findings to stakeholders to guide strategic decisions.
• Provide actionable next steps to guide clients’ BI journeys
