Job summary

FSCA South Africa seeks a data engineer to design, build, and optimize data pipelines supporting data initiatives. You will ingest data from source systems, transform it, and prepare datasets for analytics and predictive work.

You will Collaborate across teams to develop strategic data models and enforce data standards while enabling data-driven business outcomes. Strong SQL, ETL, and BI tool experience are required.

Qualifications

• Extensive ETL, data modeling, and segmentation experience.
• Advanced SQL knowledge and experience with relational databases.
• Experience with MS SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Power BI and Visual Studio data tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, expand, and optimize data pipelines for ingesting and processing data from source systems.
• Collaborate with teams to build strategic data models enabling business outcomes.
• Create robust, automated pipelines for structured and unstructured data and analytics.
• Conduct complex data analysis and report on results.
• Develop and maintain datasets to support analytics.
• Deploy and schedule ETL jobs (Batch/Micro batch processing).
• Lead data standards and reporting requirements with stakeholders.
