Job summary

Our client, a leading NPO in the education space, seeks a Knowledge and Data Manager to join its team in Cape Town or Johannesburg. You will oversee the foundation’s integrated data value chain—from data collection, standards and quality assurance to data integration, analytics, insight and knowledge outputs—helping measure, understand and enhance impact in the community.

The role requires an Honours degree, extensive data governance experience and a track record of leading cross‑functional

Qualifications

• Honours degree in data science, information management, or related field.
• Certifications in data governance or analytics desirable.
• 8+ years in data/information/knowledge management.
• 3 years in a team leadership role.
• Experience applying data governance standards and quality frameworks.
• Familiarity with USS, Power BI, Microsoft Fabric or Azure data environments.
• Experience producing consolidated reporting for EXCO or Board.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the foundation's integrated data value chain from collection to knowledge outputs.
• Establish data standards, requirements, and quality assurance processes.
• Lead analytics, insight generation, and reporting to measure impact and support decision-making.
