Job summary

The Coca-Cola Company in Johannesburg, South Africa, is seeking a Data Governance Analyst to drive governance across customer, vendor, finance, marketing, HR and supply chain data domains.

You will partner with business, technology and data teams to improve data quality, track issues, and deliver trusted governance information through dashboards and reports. This role emphasizes ownership and continuous improvement within a global data governance program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
• DAMA certification is a plus.
• 3-5 years of experience in data governance, data management, data quality, master data, analytics or a related field.
• Hands-on experience with data quality monitoring, issue tracking and remediation processes.
• Exposure to multiple enterprise data domains such as Customer, Vendor, Finance, HR, Marketing or Supply Chain.
• Technical Skills: Experience with data governance or enterprise data catalogue tools is preferred.
• Working knowledge of SQL and BI/reporting tools is advantageous.
• Familiarity with master and reference data concepts, data access controls and governance reporting is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business, technology and data teams to drive high-quality, trusted data by identifying issues, coordinating remediation and delivering sustainable solutions.
• Work closely with Data Owners and Data Stewards to embed strong governance practices, clear accountability and consistent ways of working.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain and enhance metadata, business glossaries and data catalogue content, improving visibility and understanding of critical data.
• Deliver insightful governance reporting and dashboards that help teams understand performance, manage risk and prioritize actions.
• Coordinate and track governance activities, ensuring issues, actions and controls are managed effectively and resolved in a timely manner.
• Build strong relationships across functions and markets, providing practical guidance on data governance requirements and best practices.
• Foster a culture of data ownership, accountability and continuous improvement that enables confident, data-driven decision-making across the organization.
