Job summary

iKhokha is seeking a passionate Data Engineer to turn raw data into powerful insights and scalable solutions. You will design and maintain data pipelines, collaborate with data scientists and analysts, and ensure data quality and security.

You'll work with Python, SQL, and cloud platforms (Snowflake, Azure, AWS) to enable data-driven decision making in a fast-growing fintech environment in South Africa. Hybrid/remote options available.

Qualifications

• Degree in computing, IT or related field.
• 3–5 years experience in a Data Engineering role.
• Experience with data teams (analysts/scientists/product managers).
• Solid exposure to databases, ETL, Python and SQL.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines for large data volumes.
• Integrate data from multiple sources, ensuring quality and integrity.
• Optimise data infrastructure for scalability, performance and cost.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to implement data models.
• Document data flows and govern data security and privacy.
