Job summary

Indsafri in Sandton, Johannesburg is seeking a hands-on AI Developer to design, build, test and deploy AI-powered solutions using the Microsoft AI stack. You will join a multidisciplinary delivery team focused on scalable, secure and production-ready solutions with Azure AI Foundry, Copilot Studio and related Microsoft technologies.

The role requires 2–5 years’ software development experience, hands-on Azure AI Foundry and Azure OpenAI, and familiarity with Generative AI and large language

Qualifications

• 2-5 years’ software development experience in an enterprise environment.
• Hands-on experience with Azure AI Foundry, Copilot Studio, Azure AI Services and Azure OpenAI.
• Understanding of Generative AI and Large Language Models.
• Experience building, configuring and deploying AI agents.
• API integration experience, with knowledge of authentication and security principles.
• Experience testing and debugging solutions.
• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, Data Science or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test and deploy AI agents and AI-powered solutions.
• Build solutions using Azure AI Foundry, Copilot Studio, Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Services.
• Configure prompts, orchestration logic, workflows, connectors and integrations.
• Translate business requirements into practical technical solutions.
• Integrate AI solutions with enterprise applications and data sources.
• Develop reusable components, patterns and accelerators.
• Support proofs of concept, pilots, releases and performance optimisation.
• Produce technical documentation and implementation guides.
• Follow engineering standards and take part in peer and code reviews.
• Work with stakeholders, architects, developers, testers and product owners in an Agile team.
• Share knowledge through demos and knowledge-sharing sessions.
