Job summary

Praesignis Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join a Compliance Technology environment in a leading financial services organisation in South Africa. You will develop SQL scripts, SSIS packages and ETL workflows, while ensuring data quality, governance and reliable production deployments.

The role requires 5+ years in Data Engineering, strong SQL/SSIS skills, and experience with data warehousing, data modelling and data integration across sources.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience in Data Engineering / ETL / SQL development.
• Strong hands-on experience with SQL and Microsoft SQL Server.
• Strong SSIS development experience.
• Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes and data integration.
• Experience with database performance tuning and query optimisation.
• Experience with data warehousing and data modelling.
• Experience troubleshooting production data and ETL issues.
• Experience working with SIT/UAT and production deployments.
• Strong understanding of data quality, validation and reconciliation.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities
