Job summary

Placements24 in Paarl is seeking a highly analytical Mechanical Systems Analyst to join our on-site team. You will evaluate performance, reliability and efficiency of complex systems throughout their lifecycle, using advanced modeling and data analysis to drive design improvements.

The ideal candidate holds a Mechanical Engineering degree with at least four years of systems analysis experience, and is proficient in MATLAB/Simulink and ANSYS.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in systems analysis, performance evaluation, or similar role.
• Proficiency in simulation software (MATLAB/Simulink, ANSYS) and data analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of mechanical principles, dynamics, and control systems.
• Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and communicate technical findings effectively.

Responsibilities

• Analyze the performance of mechanical systems under various operating conditions using simulation and modeling tools.
• Conduct root cause analysis for system failures and develop corrective action plans.
• Develop and implement testing procedures for system validation and performance verification.
• Create technical reports summarizing findings, conclusions, and recommendations for stakeholders.
