Job summary

Vantage is seeking a Critical Facilities Technician to join the Site Operations Department in Johannesburg. You will work with electrical and mechanical engineers to maintain data centre infrastructure, ensuring uptime and reliability for clients.

The role requires 3–5 years in data centre maintenance, hands-on experience with UPS, generators, PDUs and BMS systems, and proficiency in MS Office. A supportive team culture, competitive benefits, and opportunity for growth are offered.

Qualifications

• ND or N6 in engineering with a trade test and matric are required.
• 3-5 years of relevant data centre maintenance experience.
• Practical knowledge of air circuit breakers, UPS, chillers, CRAH/CRAC, generators and PLCs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word/Excel/Outlook and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Custodian of engineering assets on site and ensure lifecycle services.
• Maintain and improve data centre infrastructure to meet client specs.
• Respond to on-site incidents and aid root cause analysis.
• Collaborate with team to implement procedures and optimise operations.
