Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Data Analyst for a globally distributed, remote mining operations team. You will transform raw production and maintenance data into actionable insights, building dashboards and reports that drive safety and profitability.

You will collect, clean, and analyze large datasets from ERP/SCADA systems, develop KPI visualizations with Power BI or Tableau, and collaborate with engineers and operations managers to deliver data-driven solutions from a remote setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst delivering data-driven insights.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python or R for analysis.

About the Role

You will work with vast datasets related to production, equipment performance, safety incidents, and resource utilization, developing dashboards and reports that provide critical visibility to management and operational teams. Key Responsibilities

• Collect, clean, and preprocess large datasets from various operational systems (e.g., ERP, SCADA, maintenance logs).
• Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to visualize key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Perform statistical analysis to identify trends, anomalies, and areas for operational improvement in production and resource management.
• Collaborate with mine engineers, geologists, and operations managers to understand data needs and deliver tailored analytical solutions.
• Develop predictive models for equipment maintenance, production forecasting, and safety risk assessment.
• Ensure data integrity and accuracy across all reporting and analytical outputs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• 3+ years of experience as a Data Analyst, with a proven track record of delivering data-driven insights.
• Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction and manipulation, and experience with Python or R for statistical analysis.
• Expertise in data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
• Familiarity with mining operations data, or experience in a similar heavy industry environment is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote , collaborative team environment.
