Our client is seeking an innovative and experienced Data Scientist to join their advanced analytics team, working entirely remotely. This role will focus on extracting actionable insights from vast datasets related to mining operations, exploration, and geological information. You will develop predictive models, optimize processes, and create data-driven solutions that enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve decision-making across the company. Key Responsibilities

• Develop, test, and deploy machine learning models for prediction, classification, and optimization tasks within the mining context.
• Analyze large datasets from various sources (e.g., sensors, geological surveys, production logs) to identify trends and patterns.
• Design and implement A/B tests and other experiments to validate model performance and business impact.
• Communicate complex findings and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders remotely.
• Collaborate with domain experts in geology, operations, and engineering to define business problems and data requirements.
• Develop dashboards and reports to visualize key performance indicators and analytical results.

Requirements

• Master's or PhD in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative field.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in data science, with a significant focus on applying ML techniques to real-world problems.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, and relevant libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Strong experience with SQL and working with large databases.
