Job summary

Network Recruitment in Stellenbosch, South Africa, is seeking a detail‑oriented Data Analyst to transform complex financial data into meaningful business insights and support data‑driven decision making across the organisation. You will collect, clean, and model large datasets, develop dashboards in Power BI/Tableau, and partner with finance to deliver accurate reporting.

A Bachelor's degree in a related field and 1 year of relevant experience are preferred; strong SQL, Python or R, and Excel

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Finance will be advantageous.
• Ideally 1 year of experience in a Data Analyst role within the financial services sector.

Key Responsibilities

Data Collection & Management

Required Qualifications & Experience

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Relevant certifications in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, or Finance will be advantageous.

Experience

• Ideally 1 years of experience in a Data Analyst role within the financial services, banking, investment, insurance, or related finance sectors.
• Proven experience working with large datasets and financial reporting environments.

Required Technical Skills

• Strong SQL skills for querying, analysing, and managing data.
• Proficiency in Python and/or R for data analysis and automation.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar data visualisation platforms.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Fabric including data engineering, data integration, reporting, and analytics capabilities.
• Familiarity with financial databases, data warehouses, and cloud-based data platforms.
• Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to interpret complex data and translate findings into business insights.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
